BooklyBook

This is a webapp I wrote for my CIS401 class. It uses Ajax, JQuery, MySQL, PHP, and Bootstrap to create a (mostly) responsive webtool for writing and organizing your stories and references for them. While completely functional, it is still a WIP and I will add more features later on. (It features admins, user roles, locked down webpages, redirects, flash messages, and more)

Story Creation

After you log-in you can create stories. As you can see, you enter in a title, and a synopsis. (The breadcrumbs I made were custom-made, which is why they are so ugly lol. I intend to replace them with a more professional version, or just make them look better, soon.)

Example of Story Creation

Viewing your Stories

This image shows what your story looks like when you create them. You can click on their name to be taken to a page with all of the existing chapters, or you can click "add chapter", or "click here" to update the chapter. You can also click "Delete" to delete the story. Please note that the display changes to accomoiodate a 3 collumn grid scheme, so if you have 4 stories 3 will be put on one line and the next will take up it's own row, like this one here, on the next line :)

Create Chapter Page

This page is not that different from the create story page. You can enter in a title, and the content of the chapter. I have plans to implement a rich text editor, but did not have time to do so during the semester. Currently tags are not implemented, but they will be eventually.

Example of what Chapters Look Like

Here is an example of what a chapter looks like. As you can see, you have the options to update or delete the chapter, and the background is different to allow you to tell it apart from the story box at a glance. (I'm hoping to allow for customization of the site themes eventually.) I intend to come back to this and make it more visually compelling later.

Members Page

This is a picture of the members page. As you can see, non-admin users can only modify their own account, and cannot change their user role to admin. This members page was simply to satisfy the requirements of my course, and I intend to make it more robust and "forum-like" than it currently is now.

Reference Page with Ajax

This shows the References tab, where you can create references to keep track of your ideas on your stories. The page uses ajax, which allows for the new references you create to appear immediately on the page.
